About Me
Hey there! My name is Jayden and I'm a computing graduate with a Bachelor's degree from the University of Melbourne. My fascination with technology started young, from tinkering with machines to exploring how things work, and my time at uni only deepened that curiosity.
During my studies, I dove into everything from algorithms to AI, and I loved every bit of it. Some things I've dabbled in are web development, computing systems, software engineering, machine learning, and even a little bit of game development. I also completed an Investments minor with some accounting, which gave me a broader perspective on how tech connects with other industries.
Now, I'm excited to put my skills into action, whether that means building intuitive web experiences, developing scalable software, or tackling complex challenges. I'm eager to keep learning, collaborate with others, and make an impact in the tech world.
Outside of coding, you'll probably find me on a badminton court, watching a sunset by the beach, or just relaxing in a park. At home, I dive into mind-bending films like Inception and Interstellar, get lost in sci-fi worlds like Avatar or Pacific Rim, keep the Oxygen Included for my dupes, or watch 20 Formula 1 cars drive around in circles for 2 hours.

Interactive web app for visualizing pathfinding and maze generation algorithms. Users can generate mazes with built-in algorithms or design their own custom layouts. The visualization runs step by step with options to adjust speed, pause, or resume at any time. Real-time statistics, such as nodes visited and path length, provide deeper insight into the algorithm's performance.

A personal portfolio website showcasing my projects, the skills I've learned and applied previously, and a bit about who I am. It's fully responsive for a seamless experience across all devices, featuring a clean, minimalist design inspired by some websites I've found and really liked.

Developed as my final-year capstone project using the MERN stack (MongoDB, Express, React, Node). This web app helps small businesses engage with their customers through an interactive platform where users can post questions, receive answers, join forum discussions, and respond to surveys, all in one place.

First web app I built for my final year web development class. It contains two responsive web apps for a food truck startup: a customer app to locate vans, browse menus, place and track orders, and a vendor app to update locations and manage orders. Key features included authentication, order timestamping for discounts, and database-driven menus.

One of my favourite university projects which involved developing a ray tracer from scratch in C#. Key features included ray-entity intersections (spheres, triangles, planes), multiple material types (diffuse, reflective, refractive), shadow rays simulation, Fresnel effects, anti-aliasing, and depth-of-field, producing photorealistic 3D scenes entirely programmatically.

A 2.5D fighting game built in Unity as part of the University of Melbourne's Graphics and Interaction course. The game features six playable characters with unique abilities, three hand-crafted stages, and both single-player (AI) and local multiplayer modes.
